Long Term Asset Planning - Fleet Specialist

General Duties:
This position provides a focus on asset lifecycle, cradle to grave and participates in and complies with the Corporate Safety & Health Program and Environmental Management System.
The incumbent is responsible for the long term planning of the Regulated Fleet, ensuring that all aspects of long term asset planning is comprehensive and appropriately identified. You will work closely with other members of the fleet, operations, engineering teams and engages consultants where necessary to meet the objective of preparation of the long term plan. Build the long-term Fleet asset maintenance strategy and leads the development, implementation and monitoring of the comprehensive maintenance programs for all Regulated Fleet managed assets.
You will ensure that all elements of the long term planning function are conducted in accordance with NL Hydro’s Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and work to safeguard the safety of employees and contractor personnel for all work. You will also be familiar with the Environmental Policy and Guiding Principles and applicable environmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Required Qualifications:
You must have an Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or Engineering Technology Diploma from an accredited institution. Engineering programs of study must be recognized by Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador and have eight (8) years of experience working with an electrical utility in fleet management.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability in the area of multi-disciplined, multi-faceted project management or maintenance management. Shall have a high degree of demonstrated technical knowledge for the assets assigned. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Consideration maybe given to applicants with other levels of education combined with fleet management experience.
